I'm Nic, and my career spans web production in the mid-90's to noughties, then a decade specialising in digital marketing, before coming full circle into product management. I've got enough of a tech background to meddle in the code, enough conceptual and practical understanding of dev to be familiar with the principles, but not so much that I'm constrained by existing thinking. I'd also say that I straddle both the cerebral and creative.
I'm the kind of person who is always jumping ten steps ahead (driving colleagues to distraction). I get my dopamine hits from making connections across seemingly disparate domains. I also have aphantasia so I have zilch mental visualisation. I like to say that I'm a word processor.
The interesting part? I've found that this cognitive style is remarkably compatible with AI collaboration.
Ever since the 90's I've been interested in exploring what happens when technology meets human creativity. And now I fully realise that I've never been working solo.
This isn't just theory, it's built over two intensive years working, professionally and personally, with AI systems. Thousands of hours of deliberate practice, and the frameworks that have emerged from doing.
I've developed methodologies like Progressive Context Building, Co-channeling Architecture, and Socratic Dialogue Integration — frameworks that treat human-AI collaboration as the unit of intelligence, not either component alone.
I'm passionate about developing human-AI collaborative practices, with a longer-term vision of contributing to shaping the future of this field.
We're at a pivotal moment. The conversation about AI is too often framed as either utopian or dystopian, tool or threat. But what if we're asking the wrong questions?
What if the future isn't about humans OR AI, but about what we become when we work together? What if collaborative intelligence — the emergence that happens in partnership — is the actual breakthrough?
This work is about showing that the future is what we make it. That it can be bright, alive, and human even as it integrates AI deeply into how we think and create.
It's time to move beyond binary.
